A Bayelsa State based lawyer, and one time Secretary of the NBA Yenagoa branch, Somina Johnbull has congratulated the newly sworn in Judges of the Bayelsa State High Court.
In a statement made by the Bar man, he warned that there is no need politicising the appointment of the wife of the Executive Governor, as a Judge, stressing that she was a very good lawyer during her time in the bar.
"The swearing in of the Governor’s wife has generated unnecessary furore. We must not unwittingly provide ammunitions for persons whose motives are not altruistic. Who intend to merely secure political posts or settle personal scores.
"I had not handled any case involving with My Lord whilst He was still in legal practice. However, one of Judges he practiced before regularly told me how good My Lord was good in criminal litigations.
"One of the bosses in the Ministry of Justice attested to the industry of My Lord. This is wishing My Lord and the Judges sworn in yesterday a fruitful career on the bench and in the administration of justice," the statement read.
