In a bold step toward bridging Nigeria’s digital divide, NITDA and Cisco recently trained 50 unemployed Nigerian youths in a free, intensive 4-week bootcamp in Lagos. The program focused on AI, Data Science, and IT Essentials, with participants receiving certificates and job-readiness coaching.
This initiative, part of the “Digital Livelihood for All” campaign, directly supports Nigeria’s goal of achieving 70% digital literacy by 2027. The collaboration leverages Cisco’s global tech leadership and NITDA’s national digital inclusion agenda.
With digital skills now essential in nearly every field, this effort doesn’t just train individuals—it equips Nigeria’s future workforce to compete globally. More cohorts are expected in the coming months, and the feedback so far has been electric!
