The Abuja Leadership Centre, University of Abuja, has appointed Prof. Mike A.A. Ozekhome, SAN, CON, OFR, Ph.D as a Visiting Professor. His selection follows a rigorous vetting process, with the Centre citing his extensive academic experience, leadership in activism, and contributions to pro-democracy movements in Nigeria.
Ozekhome, a former law lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University and Benson Idahosa University, holds multiple honorary degrees in Law, Leadership, and Humanities from universities worldwide. The Board noted his deep understanding of constitutional law and governance, stating that his wealth of knowledge will inspire the next generation of leaders.
The Abuja Leadership Centre, anchored under the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and hosted at the University of Abuja, runs leadership and governance programmes across Africa, including postgraduate training for leaders. The Centre expressed confidence that Prof. Ozekhome’s appointment will enrich its mission to strengthen leadership capacity on the continent. The professor, in his formal acceptance, expressed deep gratitude for the honour and pledged his commitment to advancing the Centre’s mandate.
