In a bold rebranding move, 9mobile, Nigeria’s fourth-largest telecom operator, has officially transformed into T2, unveiling a vibrant orange identity to signal a fresh, digitally driven beginning. The unveiling, held under the theme “Tech Meets Tenacity”, took place at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos and marked the start of the company’s “Transformation” phase.
CEO Obafemi Banigbe described the shift as more than just a new logo—it’s a complete evolution toward becoming a customer-obsessed, tech-powered, and digitally agile brand. Rooted in four core pillars (Fast Connectivity, Smart Lifestyle, Creative Energy, and Trust) T2 aims to become the digital heartbeat for content creators, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and energized youth across Nigeria.
The rebrand follows the 2023 acquisition by Lighthouse Telecoms and a strategic infrastructure-sharing deal with MTN, helping to expand network reach and resilience. The phased transition plan ensures continuity for existing users, while positioning T2 as a fresh competitor committed to innovation, service excellence, and igniting Nigeria’s digital transformation.
