YLF Yenagoa Branch Executive Pays Courtesy Visit To Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Erudjakpo

The Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yenagoa branch, has paid a courtesy/familiarisation visit to the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Erudjakpo. This was made known in a press statement signed by the Chairman, D.O.S Abila, Secretary, Ebi Robert, and the Publicity Secretary, Joseph A. Richard.


The statement reads:


"Today, the 21st day of January, 2022, Executives, YLF Yenagoa Branch, ably led by the erudite Chairman, YLF Yenagoa Branch, Deinmobowei O. S. Abila Esq., paid a courtesy/familiarization visit to the office of the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Erudjakpo. The Deputy Governor in league with other top Government Functionaries received very well the YLF Executives and the meeting kick-started with the introduction and presentation of YLF Yenagoa Branch newly inaugurated Executives to the His Excellency, Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State for recognition.


"The YLF Yenagoa Branch Chairman immediately after the introduction stated the purpose of the familiarization visit, tying it majorly to the purpose of creating a strong, effective, and workable synergy between the office of the Deputy Governor and the YLF Yenagoa Branch for effective delivery in YLF Yenagoa Branch leadership's administration. The Chairman, YLF Yenagoa Branch in furtherance of his presentation highlighted the laid down programs/activities to run for the year 2022 which are targeted exclusively towards the development of the Young Lawyers.



"After the YLF Yenagoa Branch Chairman's presentation, the Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State responded firstly by appreciating the leadership of the YLF Yenagoa Branch, and went further to give a strong admonition to the leadership, YLF Yenagoa Branch, dishing out wisdom pointers for efficient leadership from his well equipped intellectual archives. Some of the pointers amongst others, outlined by the the Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State includes:


1- The focus of the YLF Yenagoa Branch should include organizing activities that directly impact and enlightens the society of their rights and obligations towards society.


2- The need for selflessness in the motive inculcated in service.


3- The need for the Executives, YLF Yenagoa Branch, who are the face of the Young Lawyers Forum Yenagoa Branch to portray impressions that glorifies the Forum in the view of onlookers and the public in general.



4- The need for Young Lawyers to first focus more on building competence and capacity in their profession which would attract the monies  they need at the end of the day.


The meeting ended with photographs taken with the Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State.



The Executive also appreciated His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Erudjakpo for what they described as his indulgence and magnanimity. 


"We will sure put to active practice all of his recommendations and advices," the statement reads.
