The Federal Government of Nigeria has secured a groundbreaking deal with the Government of Japan, naming Kisarazu City as Nigeria’s official “hometown” in the Asian country.
The agreement, announced on the sidelines of the 9th Tokyo International Conference for African Development (TICAD), will open doors for Nigerian tech talents, innovators, and professionals to live, work, and thrive in Japan.
According to a statement signed by State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye, the deal includes a special visa category for highly skilled and talented Nigerians, as well as artisans and blue-collar workers who are ready to upskill.
The Japanese government praised Nigeria’s abundant youth population and talent base, adding that the partnership will boost skills development, innovation, and strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
